After a discussion in vestry, St Mary’s will be moving to the common cup only at communion, starting from next week’s Pentecost service, with no provision for intinction. If you intinct because of health concerns, please note that sliver has antibacterial properties and the fortified wine kills germs. However, if you are concerned about contracting or spreading infection from the common cup, please note that receiving only the bread is as valid a communion as receiving in both kinds.
